Born in 1953 in Madagascar, then a French colony, Guillaume Beau de Lomenie has lived in Cody, Wyoming since 2009 and became a US citizen in February 2017. After serving in the French Marine Corps and seeing combat in Africa, Guillaume became a hunting guide for over 25 years in Central Asia, China, Siberia and Africa. For nearly 20 years, he was one of the main contributors to one of France's leading hunting magazines, Jours de Chasse, for which he wrote some 100 articles illustrated with his own photographs of big game hunting around the world. He is also the author of numerous biographical articles on famous hunter-explorers such as Lewis and Clark, William "Buffalo Bill" Cody, Theodore Roosevelt.
