Exhibition: Visions of the West

Wednesday, July 16th | 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Location:   Courtney Collins Fine Art, Big Sky, Montana

Join us for an inspiring evening celebration the powerful and textured works of artist Kenneth Peloke.  This new exhibition, Visions of the West, showcases Kenneth’s large-scale oil paintings that blend emotion, technique, and layered textures to evoke the spirit of the American West.

Known for his meticulous and intense process, Kenneth begins each piece by establishing a satisfying foundational layer. From there, he spends hours focused on blending and layering, creating surface

textures that are both visually rich and emotionally charged.  His detailed renditions of horses and iconic Western scenes often appear photographic at first glance, but upon closer inspection, reveal a complex interplay of layers, textures, and subtle shadows.  After drying, Kenneth expertly rubs out part of the surface, exposing hidden layers and revealing the raw, textured history beneath.

In addition to his celebrated horse and bison paintings, the exhibition will feature his abstract cowboy works – layered compositions that explore the figure’s essence through shadows, scraping, and subtle color shifts.  These pieces distill the spirit of the West into condensed, evocative, forms, capturing the mythic and emotional core of cowboy life.

Don’t miss this opportunity to experience Visions of the West – an immersive journey into the textured, emotional heart of Western art.
