Reid Flatten, saddle maker.
Reid has been building saddles for twenty-five years. His saddle shop, Word of Mouth Leather, is located just east of the Rib and Chop House on Park Street in Livingston, Montana.
To quote Reid: “The bottom of the saddle has to fit the top of the horse and the top of the saddle has to fit the bottom of the rider or somebody is going to have a really bad day.”
I invited Reid to the Courtney Collins reception for these pictures and suggested that he dress cowboy.
To which he replied, “… all I got.”
