Below is the blog entry from Big Sky Bravery web site around the evening of October 16, 2023 for the Tribute 2023 evening fundraiser, $1.56 mil was raised including a piece donated by David Yarrow, "There Will be Blood":

Dear Donors,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. On behalf of our organization, I wanted to express our deepest gratitude for your generous support and presence at our annual Tribute Dinner on October 6th. Thanks to your contributions, we were able to raise an incredible $1.56 million, which will go a long way in furthering our mission and funding much-needed operating costs for 2024.

During the evening, we celebrated reaching a significant milestone of 100 Task Forces! This achievement not only showcases the dedication and hard work of our organization but also highlights the unwavering support we receive from individuals like you. With this success, we can now plan ahead for 100 more Task Forces, ensuring our nation's elite few continue to protect and serve our great nation.

In addition to this exciting news, I am elated to share that we have acquired land in Big Sky, thanks to the Wayne and Nan Kocourek Foundation, which will serve as a forever home for our recipients and their families. This new facility will provide a safe and supportive environment for our heroes, allowing them to heal, grow, and thrive. None of this would have been possible without Wayne and Nan’s invaluable support. We are looking forward to sharing more exciting news with you in this next chapter for Big Sky Bravery.

I would like to thank this year's guest speakers, Nick and Sarah, for sharing their hearts with us and for the many, many sacrifices they have made for us all. I would also like to thank our Volunteer of the Year, Austin McPherson, and Courage Award recipient, Andy Wirth, for their outstanding dedication and contributions to Big Sky Bravery.

Lastly, I would like to thank you. Your commitment to our cause and your willingness to stand with our nation's elite few who run into the darkness so that we may live in the light is truly inspiring. Your generosity has made a tangible difference in the lives of our Special Operations Forces and their families, and I cannot thank you enough.

Once again, we extend our heartfelt appreciation for your continued support. Your contributions have a lasting impact, and we are honored to have you as part of our community. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that our heroes receive the care and support they deserve.

With deepest gratitude,
 Josh McCain
