THE GUNSMOKE CIRCUS – Dennis Bredow: Wednesday, July 1, 2026

Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Location: Courtney Collins Fine Art, 32 Town Center Avenue, Big Sky

The Gunsmoke Circus is a body of mixed media paintings that draws on iconic Western imagery and ephemera from film, packaging, and magazines. Built through an intensive process of layering paint, paper, and printed fragments, the work places a strong emphasis on texture, composition, and surface — creating its own sense of visual history within each painting.

The title was drawn from a story out of a 1953 issue of Famous Western magazine and is intended to reflect the unpredictable and theatrical nature of the Western. These paintings reconstruct those fragments, presenting the West as both memory and performance. This is the spectacle of the frontier as it was imagined through popular culture: a place where anything could happen at any moment — often ending in a hail of bullets and a cloud of gunsmoke.

THE PARADIGM OF CONSCIOUSNESS - Edward Lentsch: Wednesday, August 19, 2026

Join us on Wednesday, August 19th  at Courtney Collins Fine Art for an exclusive evening celebrating the extraordinary talent of Edward Lentsch.

Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Location: Courtney Collins Fine Art, 32 Town Center Avenue, Big Sky

The Paradigm of Consciousness is a series of paintings that probes noetic science as a bridge between the subjective and the objective. Through flows of color, texture, and form that move between the tangible and the intuited, the works suggest that inner knowing—intuition, spiritual experiences, and heightened states of awareness—may not be mere abstraction but a landscape that interacts with the physical world. Each piece invites viewers to consider how internal knowledge can resonate with material reality, dissolving the boundaries between mind and matter.

The series also engages with the hypothesis that consciousness can influence physical reality. The canvases become visual experiments: spontaneous gestures, rhythmic color, and layered surfaces that seek to capture moments of inner knowing and their potential effects on form. By offering a dual reading—the viewer’s subjective experience and the painting’s observable presence—the work proposes art as a laboratory where the unseen might surface in the seen, and where inner silence becomes a creative force

"The brain of an artist is like a radio, and our consciousness is the station we tune into..."

-       Edward Lentsch
