Los Angeles native Dennis Bredow attended California State University Fullerton, studying graphic design and illustration. Dennis went on to become a successful commercial artist, and his work has been featured in films and projects for Sony Pictures. After nearly two decades creating in the advertising and film industry, Dennis decided to focus on his own artistic pursuits, crafting beautiful paintings that draw inspiration from 1950’s craftsmanship and graphic design.
Dennis’s retro-modern artwork incorporates a range of techniques and materials, including acrylic, serigraphy, and found object assemblage. Instead of traditional canvas, Bredow favors solid birch panels for his paintings, which allows for heavy distressing of the paint. Known for his bold approach and attention to texture and detail, Bredow’s paintings bring to life the optimistic ideals of past eras.
